CHRISTMAS EVE FROM HOME RANDY |

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM HOME RANDY LYNN. The birth of Christ, that precious babe in a manger with no fanfair or celebration, yet became the vessel for saving mankind; has taken on new meaning for us. Its astounding son, to think that you're seeing face to face that very man; what must it be like; "the Greatest Gift of All" is in your midst. Randy, all your life you knew the love of Jesus and learned of a place that awaits us with mansions of glory and streets of gold that are never stained with tears of heartache. Always a place of promise for spending eternity. Randy, our vision of heaven has now changed son; its no longer a place; its home; and we look forward to our homecoming with you. We try son, as we know you want us to, but some days are still beyond our reach. Surely God knows how lonely our hearts are.
Well son, here we are at another season of holidays without you here with us. Barely a year, yet still seems like yesterday. We're told it will always seem like yesterday. We've also been told that time will make it better, but how a heart can feel better with part of it missing, I just don't understand. Today is Thanksgiving son and I can truly be thankful that you have always been a loving son who is missed with all our hearts and we will see again, made possible by a God who gave His loving son for us, Jesus Christ, our redeemer.
Randy, I miss you. This morning, God showed me to allow you to share in my sorrow; you were always ready to hurt when I hurt, cry when I cried and laugh when I laughed; so son, here we are together trying to get through the journey of roads only those who have traveled before us know the way. Stay with me son, help me dry my tears and wait for me; I'll be there. I love you.
I had a flashback about Randy a couple of days ago. Randy took Robbie and Brent to see a movie downtown Battle Creek. After the movie, Brent sneaked away from Randy and ran and hid in Randy's car. Randy and Robbie looked everywhere and finally gave up. They walked back to the car to come and tell all of us. ALAS! They found Brent in the car. Why they did not beat his buttocks still astounds me!!!
Note from home: Lonnie was one of the closest men in Randy's growing up years.
Randy Lynn Rozell your every word will speak forever in your family; everyday something new comes to mind to let us know you're still with us. We'll never forget your call "Mom, do you know a John Kasich; I had him and his wife out on the boat for several days, they honeymooned down here". You said how much you liked them; what must you think now that he's Ohio's new governor? We miss you son, but you hold a place in family that will never dim. Rest with Jesus Christ!
